About F.I.R.S.T.

The FIRST organization (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) was created in 1992 by inventor Dean Kamen with the goal of inspiring young people to be science and technology leaders, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering, and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.

Currently, FIRST offers four programs, FRC (FIRST Robotics competition), FTC (FIRST Tech Challenge), FLL (FIRST Lego League), and Jr. FLL (Junior FIRST Lego League).

Visit www.firstinspires.org for further information about all the programs available through FIRST.
